The Bottle Hill/Hillside Cemetery was established circa 1749 by the original Presbyterian Meeting House, many of the area's earliest residents lie in this cemetery including nine Revolutionary Water Veterans and various Noe family members. Robert Garman, our guide, is an Elder and Trustee of the Madison Presbyterian Church and administers the Hillside Cemetery. At it's founding the town was known as Bottle Hill becoming Madison about 100 years later.
