The Hollywood Songbook is the second project of The Central Players, a year-old theatre troupe in residence at the Central Presbyterian Church. Produced in collaboration with the Continuo Arts Foundation, the show will be a benefit for the new company. Classic film songs like "Over the Rainbow," "Singin' in the Rain," "Nice Work If You Can Get It" and "Moon River" will be performed, along with contemporary favorites like "Do You Want to Build A Snowman" from Disney's Frozen and "Joyful, Joyful," a rollicking Gospel number from Sister Act 2. These numbers and many more will be sung by both soloists and choral groups, accompanied by a live ensemble. Dr. Candace Wicke, Continuo Arts founder and Artistic Director, will conduct.
