Baz Luhrmann’s recently released movie based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel The Great Gatsby has sent contemporary culture into a 1920’s frenzy. From fashion to wedding themes, trends are becoming more and more inspired by the decade. Join us this season for the Lifelong Learning Series and enjoy an in-depth look at this fascinating decade defined by jazz, flappers and lavish celebrations. Five distinguished scholars will explore the culture of the 1920’s and explore topics including art, music, fashion, literature and film.
