Roger Pasquier will speak about his book Painting Central Park and the enduring inspiration provided by the landscape designs of Frederick Law Olmsted. From its creation in 1860 and through the present, many major American and European painters have painted aspects of Central Park. Roger Pasquier is an art historian and ornithologist who grew up playing and bird watching in Central Park. Book signing and wine and cheese reception follows.
