Rich Schrader will discuss the replacement of the old Tappan Zee Bridge with the new bridge covering the history of replacement discussions/actions, the procurement method selected by state, key political and private individuals, major features, design and construction parameters, political considerations and current status. Rich Schrader, a registered professional engineer, has almost 40 years of professional experience with some 35 years in engineering and construction. He worked for Parsons Brinckerhoff for almost 30 years, including as chairman of the $2.5 billion revenue firm. Previously, he spent 11 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and taught at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
