Joyce Kozloff’s identity as an artist has evolved throughout her 44 year career.  She has defined herself as a feminist artist, a decorative artist, a public artist and a cartographic artist.  Each of her identities has remained with her, reappearing at different times in new and unexpected manifestations. Kozloff, will address her need to push forward and explore as an artist, coupled with a desire to incorporate and extend her past.
