Hudson Highlands Adventure
Stonecrop Gardens - guided tour of the beautiful display gardens on 12 acres with a diverse collection of gardens and plants. Included are woodland and water gardens, a grass garden, raised alpine stone beds, cliff rock gardens, and an enclosed English-style flower garden. The Conservatory, suspended over the pond, broadens the display with tropicals, Mediterranean plants, the Australian collection, and non-hardy evergreens and succulents. Village of Cold Spring - grab some lunch, shop, sightsee or just relax on a bench by the river's edge. Cold Spring's Main Street radiates charm with its unique collection of stores, antique shops, and eateries that slope down to the banks of the Hudson. Architecture buffs will be dazzled by the Colonial & Victorian architectural styles in this beautifully preserved 19th century village. If gallery hopping is more to your liking, Cold Spring has many fine art galleries to explore. Boscobel - guided tour of exceptional gardens and grounds with stunning panoramic views of the Hudson River and Highlands. Boscobel contains one of the leading collections of furniture and decorative arts from the Federal period and includes pieces by the finest furniture makers of the early nineteenth century. Walk out to the Belvedere, an overlook built into the bluff, or to the gazebo along the woodland trail to see the most picturesque views of the Hudson River.
