Please join the Chatham Township Historical Society for an informative program given by Pat Wells on the Houses of Worship of Chatham Township and Green Village. These two small towns produced 8 churches and 11 congregations. Many of the churches and congregations started out in homes, schools and shared sanctuaries. Early settlers in Chatham Township and Green Village found solace in their faith. As Chatham Township and Green Village grew, the churches became a central gathering point for the towns. The presentation will include a history of faith in Green Village and Chatham Township as well as pictures of these places of worship.
