The 2008 financial collapse impacted funding to museums nationwide. In this timely presentation, art critic Dan Bischoff will discuss the history and purpose of public funding for the visual arts and its relationship with society’s sense of unity and purpose. He will address how lack of funding has impacted artists and highlight the work contemporary artists are producing to restore harmony in their communities.
