Footsteps in the Sand is the saga of one family from eastern Poland during WW11. The author, Eva C Hoffman Jedruch, was born just before WWII in Lwow, Poland. She intertwines her recollections of the events seen as a child, with reminiscences and memoirs of adult members of her family. She recounts the story of her mother Zofia, who is arrested by the Soviets in April 1940 and deported to hard labor in Kazakhstan, Her eighteen month old daughter (Eva) is left behind in Poland in the care of relatives. This heartfelt story chronicles Zofia?s fight to stay alive, and eventually become reunited with her daughter 7 years later. Footsteps in the Sand is currently being translated to English from its Polish version which has sold thousands of copies throughout Europe. Register early , limited seating!!!
