The Clan Currie were a race of professional bards in Medieval Scotland who practiced their craft in a virtual unbroken line from approx. 1213 to ca 1700, and continues to write poetry up to the present day, making the Clan Currie the longest-lived bardic dynasty in Scotland and aboad. Castles & Kilts, presented by Bob Currie, the Executive Producer of Summit’s Pipes of Christmas, will explore the means by which this long bardic tradition has re-invented itself to retain its vitality through the ages.
By day, Bob is VP, Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer for the J.M. Huber Corporation where he is responsible for all aspects of internal and external communications, including employee communications, public relations and crisis communications. He is the recipient of numerous industry awards for his work in print publications, video production and web development.
