The 11th Annual Architectural Workshop, a source of family fun and community pride, will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 in downtown Summit. During the Workshop, family teams will select a provided photo of a Summit landmark, replicate or "build" the building out of the provided 70,000 LEGO blocks and then place the creation on a huge 30-by-20 foot scale map of downtown Summit that features all of the streets and dozens of significant buildings. This amazing co-sponsored event to benefit the Summit Historical Society is a fun way to teach children, their parents and grandparents ? even aunts, uncles and cousins ? about the heritage of buildings in Summit. Each participating family will be provided with a take-home map which includes the historical descriptions of the buildings so each child can locate the actual landmark buildings in person. Photos of the LEGO creations will be available to the participating families via Snapfish.
