November 2014 marks the 150th anniversary of the reelection of Abraham Lincoln. The Presidential Campaign of 1864, General George B. McClellan vs. Abraham Lincoln, was one of the most controversial elections in our nation's history, and recently discovered documents now reveal a never-before-told story of a Federal officer's attempt to sabotage the Lincoln Administration, and his vain efforts to make McClellan president. Civil War historian, William P. Styple will speak on this topic.
