DESCRIPTION:Start the New Year with an inspirational day of yoga and art and help support the Art Center. This special event will take place in the Main Gallery surrounded by the inventive artwork of Women Choose Women Again\, followed by a talk with Curator Mary Birmingham.\n\n\n\nAbout the Exhibition\n\nWomen Choose Women Again is inspired by the historically important 1973 exhibition Women Choose Women. A group of artists from the original exhibition will each show one of their own works and choose another female artist to participate in the new exhibition. Also on view\, Portraits by Elena Caravela stresses the importance of encouraging young female artists to create by painting portraits of young women and collaging the background of the portrait with images of their artwork. Co-curated by Mary Birmingham and Katie Murdock. \n\n \n\nAbout Carl Klemme\n\nInstructor\, Carl Klemme's classes are flow style\, and built on the foundations of the Kripalu tradition where he has trained and practiced since 1989. Carl's art and yoga are inspired by his 25 year exploration of the world's most profound spiritual teachings\, most notably the work of Joel Goldsmith & Ramana Maharshi.
