DESCRIPTION:FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE\n\n	WHARTON MUSIC CENTER                    \n\n	 \n\n	 \n\n	Wharton Music Center \n\n	Library Concert Series\n\n	Classical Duo\n\n	 \n\n	Wharton Music Center's Library Concert Series continues with violinist Mikhail Kuchuk and classical pianist Luba Vasilyeva on Sunday\, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Long Hill Public Library located at 917 Valley Road in Gillette. The program will feature works by Baroque composer Tortini\, Volodos of a Rachmaninoff-inspired piece\, Ysaye\, composer of virtuosic violin solos\, and Franck. The concert is free and open to the public. \n\n	 \n\n	Mr. Kuchuk graduated from the Academy of Music in Odessa\, Ukraine and completed his Master and Doctorate of Music degrees in Freiburg\, Germany. Mr. Kuchuk was a winner of the Ukrainian National Violin Competition in 1990 and the Baden Wurtemberg Violin Competition in Germany in 1996. As a soloist\, he toured in Germany\, Italy\, and France. Since 1999\, Mr. Kuchuk has been a member of the Forte String Quartet in residence at the Brookyn Conservatory of Music that performs throughout the United States. \n\n	 \n\n	Ms. Vasliyeva studied at the Mussorgsky School in Russia and received a Master of Music degree. She performed a series of piano recitals at the Great Conservatory Hall in Moscow and participated in numerous chamber music ensembles. Ms. Vasilyeva has appeared in many solo performances throughout New Jersey since immigrating to the United States in 1999.\n\n	 \n\n	Both Mr. Kuchuk and Ms. Vasilyeva are longtime members of the faculty at Wharton Music Center.\n\n	 \n\n	Wharton Music Center's Library Concert Series changes venues to the Library of the Chathams beginning April 27. Concerts to be held at the Library of the Chathams include:\n\n	 \n\n	April 27 at 2:30 p.m. The American Songbook and Other Swingin' Sounds featuring Joel Perry\, guitar\, Frank Noviello\, vocalist\, and Rick Crane\, bass\n\n	May 11 at 2:30 p.m. Classical Harp featuring Diane Michaels\, harp\n\n	June 8 at 2:30 p.m. An Afternoon of Broadway's Best with Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim featuring vocal quartet Jamie Baer Peterson\, Ken Magos\, Karen Cantor\, and David Cantor\, vocalists \n\n	 \n\n	All concerts are free and open to the public. The Library Concert Series is sponsored in part by the Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation.\n\n	 \n\n	Wharton Music Center\, located at 60 Locust Avenue in Berkeley Heights\, provides music\, theater\, and dance instruction\, educational programs\, and performances for children\, teens\, and adults.
