DESCRIPTION:COME ON DOWN AND JOIN THE FUN! Washington Elementary School\, located at 507 Morris Ave in Summit\, NJ announces the date for its annual Country Fair: May 17\, 2014. The beloved tradition is open to the community from Summit and the surrounding areas from 11 am to 3 pm. Featuring a variety of indoor and outdoor games\, including bounce houses and a petting zoo\, crafts\, pi atas\, a "cake walk\," and more\, as well as the opportunity to win dozens of great prizes at the Silent and Tin Can Auctions\, the Washington School Country Fair promises fun for kids of all ages   rain or shine. Washington School art teacher Jamie Bass\, together with local graphic designer Claudia Petrilli (http://designbyclaudia.com/)\, developed a new logo for the 2014 Country Fair featuring the Washington School Owl mascot\, in country garb. This year's Silent and Tin Can Auctions will offer items generously donated by local shops and skilled artisans as well as national companies. Vacation items\, spa and fitness packages\, theater tickets\, golf foursomes\, portrait sittings with professional photographers\, and popular toys and games figure among the prizes. Some silent auction highlights include: three nights at a beautiful\, five-bedroom villa in the Dominican Republic\; a family four-pack of Park Hopper tickets to Disney World in Orlando\, Florida\; a pair of tickets to the Tony-Award winning musical "Avenue Q"\; and Sunday Brunch at the renowned Short Hills Hilton. Among the raffle prizes are: an iPad mini\; an American Girl doll\; cooking classes\; a bowling outing for 4\; a scooter\; assorted luggage items\; gift certificates toward swim\, dance\, music\, tae kwon do\, yoga\, and spinning classes\; and gift cards for restaurants\, retailers\, and salons throughout Summit and the neighboring communities. Thus far\, the event's generous donors include Benessere\, Bonny Neiman Antiques & Artisan\, Equinox\, Harmony Landscaping and Property Management\, Kent Place Communications\, Kidville\, Liberty Cleaners\, Lorenz Fine Photography\, Madison Mud\, Marguerite Brennan Clay Art\, Martial Arts for Life\, Master Yoo's Summit Tae Kwon Do\, Meadows Golf Club\, The Paper Mill Playhouse\, Pizza Vita\, The Rosen Group\, Skin Deep\, Sticks and Stones\, Sum It Up\, The Sweat Factory\, Walt Disney World Co.\, Visiting Angels\, What a Dish!\, and Zipf Construction. A wide variety of food options are available to purchase at the event\, including classic country fare such as chicken and corn and fresh lemonade. Children and families can also enjoy an array of international foods like empanadas\, tacos and nachos. The Country Fair is organized by the Washington School PTO and run by parent volunteers.
