DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of FAMILY FUN as the Summit Junior Fortnightly Club (SJFC) will host the 40th Annual Tot Trot. Children's Dyslexia Center at Scotch Plains Campus Fun run races for kids ages 2-10 Sunday\, June 3rd\, 2018 11am-2pm Memorial Field\, 5 Myrtle Ave.\, Summit\, NJ TOT TROT begins at 11:00 a.m.\, with runner registration\, petting zoo\, trackless train\, moon bounces\, games\, prizes\, food and more. Races start promptly at 1:00 p.m. Online registration is now open or you may mail in your entry form. Approximately 500 children from Summit and surrounding towns come out to Summit's Memorial Field for a day of outdoor family fun\, culminating with a children's race for kids ages 2-10 in support of a local charity benefiting children. The day begins with a morning of activities\, including a petting zoo\, inflatables\, an obstacle course\, games of all kinds\, face painting\, crafts and refreshments. The entire event is run by volunteers\, over half of whom are children and teenagers between the ages of 8 and 20. This year's beneficiary is the Children's Dyslexia Centers of Scotch Plains Campus\, a non-profit organization established in 1997 to assist students through a multi-sensory reading and written language tutorial service for children and dyslexia. Its mission is to establish higher levels of learning through a specialized program called Orton Gillingham which promotes better reading and unlocks the full potential of children with dyslexia so that they may succeed and contribute to society. The Center provides the highest quality multi-sensory reading and written language tutorial services free of charge to those children with Dyslexia in and around the area. Please contact us with any questions\, more information or are interested in partnering with us in supporting the Children's Dyslexia Centers of Scotch Plains through a sponsorship.
