SUMMARY:November First Friday
DESCRIPTION:Join us on First Friday in November and ......\n\n\n\nMake the most out of alternative financing: a look at loan products for small businesses\n\n \n\nWhen banks say no\, organizations like UCEDC may be able to say yes to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Programs like microloans\, SBA7(a) loans and 504 loans are designed to help small businesses to create jobs and strengthen communities. But many business owners don't know about these programs or aren't prepared to submit a strong application. Get the information you need to tap into these resources when you need them.\n\n\n\nOur Guest Speaker will be Maureen Tinen\, president of UCEDC\, a statewide\, non-profit economic development corporation\, a position she has held for nearly 25 years. During her tenure\, she led the company's transformation from a single county EDC to the statewide resource that is now\, one of the oldest and largest economic development organizations in the state. Serving small business owners through lending\, training and government contracting\, UCEDC is a US Treasury designated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)\, an SBA designated state wide microlender and 7(a) Community Advantage lender\, and a US Dept. of Defense Procurement Technical Assistance Center.
