DESCRIPTION:ART in the Garden\, Reeves-Reed Arboretum's eagerly anticipated annual garden party and fundraiser will take place Saturday\, June 4\, 2016\, 6-11pm. The evening's festivities include a silent as well as live auction\, dining by David Ellis Events\, music by Massive Reggae Band\, and dancing to DJ Paul Fessock's World of Rock. This year's gala also celebrates the extraordinary contributions of long-time community partners The Summit Garden Club and The Honorable Ellen Dickson and Mr. Chip Dickson. THE BLUE PLANET art exhibit will premiere at the gala and is open through the end of October. The exhibit features waterscapes by renowned artist and printmaker\, Julio Valdez\, as well as water themed garden sculptures by additional artists including Sam Bogner\, Cindy Booth\, Carla Goldberg\, Tom Holmes\, Susan Manspeizer\, Dave McNeil\, Lori Merhige\, Shelley Parriott\, Herman Roggeman\, and a special active water feature by Atlantis Water Gardens. All works are for sale and the participating artists will donate 30% of each purchase to the Arboretum. Tickets to this special evening are available for purchase at 501auctions.com/reevesreedarboretum2016. Pre-auction bidding begins June 1st.
