Dr. Roz Dorlen
Event Description:
Spring is here and it's time to increase your optimism!  Summit's Dr. Rosalind Dorlen will give us some great pointers on how to keep our personalities upbeat! 

Dr. Roz Dorlen is a board certified clinical psychologist in private practice in Summit for nearly 40 years. She is a member of the Department of Psychiatry at Overlook Medical Center and senior member of the faculty at the Center for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Clinical Psychology and the American Psychological Association. She also supervises doctoral students at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She is a past president of the New Jersey Psychological Association and served in numerous leadership positions in the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Dorlen has lectured throughout the country and written over 50 publications about stress and building resilience, caregiving, parenting and bullying. She has been quoted in the New York Times,, USA Today, Star Ledger, Forbes Magazine, Family Circle, LA Times, Overlook View, and has appeared on national TV on CNN, ABC News, Good Morning America, NBC, News 12 NJ, Channel 13, and CBS News.
Among her many awards, Dr. Dorlen was named New Jersey  Psychologist of the Year by her colleagues. She also received the Peterson Prize and the Edward Blaustein Award from Rutgers Professional School of Psychology for outstanding accomplishment in improving the psychological health of communities and workplaces throughout the country. She was the recipient of the Karl F. Heiser American Psychological Association Award for Advocacy and Community Health and recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New Jersey Psychological Association for her contribution to the field of Psychology.
